Non-Eco: Which Initiatives Harm the Environment

Not every action presented as environmental actually helps nature. Some initiatives are ineffective or even harmful because they create the illusion of ecological progress while distracting from real solutions.

Greenwashing can appear in many forms: symbolic campaigns without measurable results, “eco” products that encourage more consumption, tree planting without proper care, or recycling promises that are not supported by infrastructure.

The problem is not good intentions, but the absence of impact. An initiative should be evaluated by what it changes: emissions reduced, waste prevented, resources saved, ecosystems restored or people educated.

True environmental action is transparent, measurable and honest about limitations. It does not replace systemic change with beautiful slogans.
