What We Are Doing Now and What We Plan Next

Glossary Eco Foundation works along two parallel vectors - infrastructural and educational. The first is the installation of hybrid solar power plants in schools. The second is the shaping of ecological culture through learning materials, awareness-raising initiatives and direct engagement with communities. The tasks facing the Foundation now lie in both directions.

School Under the Sun Program

The pilot project at the school in the town of Monastyryska confirmed: the model is technically proven, the timelines verified, the results documented. The current task is scaling up. The strategic goal for 2026-2028 is 15 schools with installed hybrid solar plants and a working educational programme.

01

School Selection.

The Foundation reviews applications and initiates contact with schools where two criteria come together - a real need for energy autonomy and the readiness of the administration and the community for partnership. At present, three schools are at the stage of negotiations on signing memoranda.

02

Partnership with Communities.

Every project is delivered through a memorandum between the Foundation, the local community and the institution's administration. This is not simply the handover of equipment, but a long-term agreement with shared responsibility for the result.

03

Donor Engagement.

Each school is a separate site with verified technical and financial parameters. A donor or partner finances a specific school - in full or in part - and receives confirmation of the targeted use of funds with photographic documentation and online monitoring data.

01

Educational Component in Schools

Each school participating in the 'School Under the Sun' programme receives not only equipment but also a learning programme on renewable energy. Children who see the real generation data of their school's plant every day gain the context to understand climate change and the role of renewable energy.

The Foundation develops methodological materials for teachers - handbooks that link the technical side of the plant's operation with the wider questions of climate change and sustainable consumption. The Foundation's founder - author of more than 50 academic publications in the field of green economy, ambassador of the international initiatives No More Plastic and Dirt Charity - is directly involved in developing these materials.

02

Children’s Book Series

The first book of the ecological series is being published in 2026 - Vukhan-Klapan and the Red Mark - about rare Ukrainian animals and the impact of human activity on ecosystems. Part of the print run is given free of charge to schools, libraries and family-type children's homes.

The series will continue: the next books will cover the themes of climate change, responsible consumption and renewable energy. In parallel, the Foundation is considering the format of an open story and illustration competition for children on ecological themes - as a way to involve new authors and create a living environment around the topic of conserving the environment and countering climate change.

A Living Connection with the Community

Culture is shaped not only through schools and books. It is passed on through direct experience: participation in a shared undertaking, meeting people who do something right, the sense that ecological responsibility is not a burden but a natural way to live.

Партнерство з громадою
+ 100% Continuity of the learning process
– 50% Electricity cost reduction

Since its founding, the Foundation has delivered a number of such initiatives: laying the Star Flowerbed at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, eco-journeys to introduce participants to sustainable farming practices, and support for organic production and local supply chains. Small in scale - but concrete points of change. This direction continues to develop.

The format may vary - partnership with businesses that share the same values, cultural and awareness-raising events, participation in international networks. The Foundation is open to cooperation with organisations for which ecological culture is not a declaration but a daily practice.
